Valle de los Sueños 2 (NH)
This area is located in the Sierra Norte de Madrid, within the Sierra del Rincón, which was declared a Biosphere Reserve in 2005 for its exceptional forest ecosystems, among which its native oak and pine forests stand out. This area is the area of the Community of Madrid that suffers the greatest depopulation. Deforestation suffered by excessive logging and agricultural and livestock use generated soil degradation that hinders its natural regeneration. This reforestation project will revitalize the region, recovering the ecosystem, generating employment and giving visibility to this admirable area of the Sierra Norte, where there are a total of 20 "green routes" that invite hiking, an activity that can be combined with a visit to this forest that will grow with patience and with your help.

CREATING POSITIVE IMPACT THROUGH EVENTS
How we integrate sustainability into the event organization
The NH Collection Constanza hotel is certified with the ISO 14001 standard for environmental management, the ISO 50001 standard for innovation and energy efficiency, and has recently been certified with the Biosphere label. The hotel is equipped with charger points for electric cars and features accessible elements in elevators, parking and conference rooms.
We strive to minimize the use of paper and single-use plastics, replacing them with reusable or biodegradable alternatives, whenever possible, to reduce waste. Therefore, you'll find returnable glass bottles, biodegradable candy wrappers, pens which are made from recycled material, the lanyards are made of organic cotton and you can plant your accreditation after the event! We also replaced the capsules with coffee beans.
Our meals are based on km0 and seasonal products that represent the local gastronomy. The amount of food is also adapted to the needs of the event to avoid waste, and any leftovers are carefully collected for donation to a soap kitchen.
Carbon neutral events
In our commitment to combat climate change, we are focused on reducing as much as possible the carbon emissions. Those that cannot be avoided are offset through projects that contribute to the conservation of nature and biodiversity in different areas.
The event’s carbon footprint is calculated following the HCMI (Hotel Carbon Measurement Initiative) methodology, supported by the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance. In addition to "The Forest Project", we collaborate with different certified emission offset initiatives that are developed across the different regions in which we operate.
Thanks to your tree activation you are now part of "The Forest Project" and are helping us to neutralize this event!
PLANET & PEOPLE are our top priorities. That is why we are constantly learning and improving to take our commitment to the next level.
You can also make a positive impact every time you choose to celebrate an event with us.
